Martin Kotynek

Martin Kotynek runs editorial at Austria’s second-largest news website derStandard.at and the broadsheet newspaper Der Standard in Vienna. Prior to this, he was deputy editor-in-chief at the German news site ZEIT Online in Berlin, where he ran editorial product, engagement (social media, SEO, community), interactive storytelling, investigative reporting, and data science Martin was also an investigative editor at Germany’s weekly paper Die Zeit, and a politics editor and Page Two editor at Süddeutsche Zeitung in Munich. Martin is a neuroscientist and was a Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford University in 2014.
