Alexandra Stanić ist seit Mai 2019 Chefreporterin für „VICE.com“ D-A-CH, zuvor Chefredakteurin bei „VICE.com“ AT; bis Oktober 2018 Chefreporterin bei „biber“ und Leiterin der Lehrredaktion, mitverantwortlich für Journalismuskurse für geflüchtete Medienschaffende aus Syrien, Afghanistan und Tschetschenien; behandelt Feminismus, Migration und Gesellschaftskritik in ihrer Arbeit; fotografiert seit 2015, porträtiert im Zuge ihrer feministischen Fotoprojekte Frauen und spricht mit ihnen unter anderem über Rassismus, psychische Erkrankungen, gefährliche Schönheitsideale und sexualisierte Gewalt. Bricht in ihrer Fotostrecke „It’s all about our blood“ das Tabuthema Menstruation; von 2012 bis 2015 freie Journalistin, veröffentlichte unter anderem bei „Presse“, „stern.de“ und „Wiener Zeitung“.
Alexandra Stanić has been head reporter for VICE.com (D-A-CH) since May 2019, previously she was editor-in-chief at VICE.com (AT); until October 2018 she was head reporter at das biber and head of the teaching editorial office, co-responsible for journalism courses for fugitive media workers from Syria, Afghanistan and Chechnya. Stanić deals with feminism, migration and social criticism in her work. She has been photographing since 2015 and portrays women in the course of her feminist photo projects, talking to them about racism, mental illness, dangerous ideals of beauty and sexualised violence. In her photo series "It's all about our blood," Stanić breaks the taboo subject of menstruation. From 2012 to 2015 Stanić has had articles published as a freelance journalist in Die Presse, stern.de and Wiener Zeitung, among others.
